The Hernia Simulator was developed to demonstrate the basic instrumentation and progression of a Hernia Operation. This simulator helps to create an environment where various surgical instrumentations can be applied. The instrumentation and suture used on the simulator are the same used in an actual hernia operation. As with the Appendectomy Simulator, it is equipped with all abdominal tissue layers including skin fascia muscle and peritoneum to allow for instruction and practice of proper surgical counts in the skills laboratory.
